Obituary of Nicholas Parente
Nicholas Parente, 66, of Jackson passed away at home on Thursday, September 11, 2025 after a ten year battle with cancer. He was born in Garwood, raised in Piscataway and had lived in Monroe prior to settling in Jackson in 2017. In 1991 Nick met the love of his life, Debbie at Club Casablanca in Manasquan and they shared a beautiful life raising their three boys. He was the owner of Liberty Maintenance Contractors for over 30 years. Nick was a sports lover and enjoyed playing softball for numerous teams, most notably the Main Street Saloon. He was a music enthusiast, but his favorite artist was Elvis. A passionate golfer, Nick was a former member of the Battleground Country Club and Knob Hill Golf Club. The type of friend who wanted to do everything for everyone else, he never missed an opportunity to call and catch up with those he loved, always showing support for whatever was happening in their lives. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality and his love for his family.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Pia Parente; and his in-laws, Mario and Juliet Masitti. Nick is survived by his wife, Debra; sons, Dominick, Anthony and Nick; siblings, Angela, Ralph, Rose and her husband, John, and Juliane and her husband, Jimmy; brothers-in-law, Joe and his wife, Robin, Michael, Frank and his wife, Cindy; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Interment will be private.
