Obituary of Caterina Y. Hroncich

Caterina Y. Hroncich, 62, of Manalapan passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  Cathy was born and raised in Hoboken.  She had lived in North Bergan before moving to Manalapan in 1990.  Along with her husband, Cathy owned and operated Jersey Granite and Tile, LLC in Marlboro for over twenty-five years retiring in 2023.  She was a woman of faith and was a parishioner of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.  Cathy also had an artistic side and treasured her time painting using mainly oil on canvas.  Traveling is something she did through out her life, either to Croatia with her family or to the islands or Europe.   

Cathy was predeceased by her parents Federico and Nicolina Lister.  She is survived by her husband of forty-one years, Marty; sons, Martin Eric Hroncich and his wife, Luciana and Dylan Hroncich and his fiancée, Reanna Morio; sister, Maria Mirkovich and her husband, Andrew; and a brother, John Lister and his wife, Marina.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan.  Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Marlboro.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
