Roma Ponzo, 86, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and settled in Monroe twenty-one years ago. Roma was the heart of her family. She enjoyed travelling, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her home was always filled with good food, laughter, and the kind of warmth that made everyone feel welcome.

Roma is survived by her loving husband, Carl Ponzo of Monroe; two children, Robert Ponzo and his wife, Stephanie of Bellerose, New York and Lisa Schweibinz and her husband, Bob of Manalapan; grandchildren, Bobby, Alivia, Jessica, and Kristen; and brother, Frank Micciche.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 156 Maxwell Avenue, Hightstown. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park and Mausoleum, 840 Cranbury South River Road, East Brunswick.
