Patricia Kondrup

Obituary of Patricia Ann Kondrup

Patricia Ann Kondrup, 95, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.  A sweet Irish lass, Pat was born in New York City, raised in the Bronx, and had lived in Jersey City and Queens before settling here in 1966 to raise her family.

One of her most fond childhood memories was that her father, a NYC mounted police lieutenant, led the St. Patrick’s Day Parade for ten years, a story she regaled to her family throughout her lifetime.  She was a classically trained pianist who had the honor of playing at Carnegie Hall. A voracious reader, Pat also enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and yoga.    A graduate of Hunter College, Pat worked at Port Authority where she met her future husband, Arthur.   She later worked as a real estate broker for Rossmoor-Clearbrook, as a probation officer for the Civil Division of the Monmouth County Court House, and as an office specialist for the Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce.  Her most treasured role was raising her children and then helping to raise her grandchildren.

A familiar face in Freehold Township, she was actively involved and dedicated to her community for years which included having served on the Street Naming Committee, and volunteering at the polls for every election over 40 years.

Pat was predeceased by her adoring husband of 65 years, Arthur Robert Kondrup; son-in-law, Joseph Postorino; and her grandson, Jason Moore. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Kondrup Moore, Maureen Postorino, and Teresa Kondrup Coyle and her husband, George “Tom” of Freehold Township; sons, Arthur Michael Kondrup and his wife, Rosalie of Boca Raton, FL and Stephen Kondrup and his wife, Ingrid of Freehold Township; grandchildren, Devon Alana and her husband, Jeff Kranz, Shannon Patricia Moore and her partner, Ryan Wolf, Seamus Aidan Coyle, Bryan Andrew Kondrup, Matthew Stephen Kondrup, Austin Gil Cover, Anna Postorino, and Sharron Postorino Torres and her husband, Julio; great grandchildren, Joseph Rosko, Alyssa Davis, Josh and Giovanni Torres; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, November 9, 2025 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, November 10, 2025 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold Township.
