Frank Guarasi, 93, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.  Frank was born on December 24, 1931 in Lodi, New Jersey where he was raised and lived before settling in Old Bridge.  He was a proud United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, a United Nations Service Medal, a Combat Infantry Badge, and a National Defense Service Medal.

After his service to his country, he married his first love, Maria in 1956. Soon after, they settled in Old Bridge, where they raised three children. He was passionate and actively involved in sports and coaching. Frank played softball well into his late 40’s and despite popular opinion actually “invented” the head first slide. His coaching and mentorship to young people left a lasting impact on many lives. He continued playing sports such as golf and bowling well into his 80’s. In fact, his all-time high near perfect bowling score was obtained at the age of 89. Frank was known for his kindness, generosity, empathy and belief to “always do the right thing”. His love for family was evident in his deeds and continues to have an impact on three generations. Frank was loved and admired by many and will be dearly missed.
