Obituary of Renate A. Doran

Renate A. Doran, 71, of Brick passed away surrounded by her family on November 6, 2025. She was born and raised in Nürnberg, Germany and lived there until she met the love of her life Edmund while he was serving in the United States Army. Renate and Edmund spent time living and traveling back to Germany for many years before settling in Brick in 1986.

Renate devoted her life to her family. She and Edmund were married for 49 years, rarely spending a moment without each other. She was found most often in her kitchen cooking and baking for her friends and family. Renate was famous for her German Chocolate cake, as she was a connoisseur of German chocolate. She took great pride in her German heritage and retained her lifelong citizenship in Germany. Renate greatly enjoyed being online reading and watching videos on the internet. Renate had a quick wit and a great sense of humor which she passed onto her daughter and shared with everyone who had the privilege of being at her table.

She was predeceased by her son, David Lee Doran. Renate is survived by her devoted husband Edmund Doran, and her daughter Jennifer Doran and her Wife, Allie Delaney.
