Stuart Marc Rosenthal Obituary

Stuart Marc Rosenthal, 62, of Howell passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL.  Stuart was born in Columbus, OH and had lived in Georgia, Texas, Washington, DC, and Maryland before settling in New Jersey in 1997.  A graduate of the University of Georgia and a brother of Tau Epsilon Phi, he went on to have a successful career working for Toys R Us/Kids R Us, Universal Surveillance Systems, and then Alpha High Theft Solutions which later became Checkpoint Systems. Of all his accomplishments, his family was his greatest!  Stuart adored his children, cherished his grandchildren and loved his wife fiercely.  He was extremely passionate about his family and wanted nothing more than to spend quality time with them.  He loved going to the beach with his wife and heading to Klein’s afterward for cocktails and fish tacos. A true sports enthusiast, Stuart was a Philly fanatic and a true fan of the University of Georgia.  Go Dawgs!

Stuart was a celebrated sales professional, earning numerous sales awards and consistently being recognized as a top performer in the President’s Club within his industry. He participated on the Board of Directors with LP Magazine and was also a board member of the Loss Prevention Foundation.  Stuart was blessed that his job gave him the opportunity to travel to beautiful countries, including Germany, China, England and Australia to name a few. He especially loved to tell his family stories of his adventures.

Beyond his professional achievements, Stuart was deeply committed to his community. In honor of his love for baseball, he generously gave his time and talents as a member of the board at North Howell Little League. At the fields off Okerson Road he not only coached his son, but later shared in officiating games with him.  In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and fishing with his son, son-in-law, and grandson.  He always adored his sweethearts, his  daughter and granddaughter.

He was predeceased by his mother, Karen Rosenthal.  Stuart is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Lou; daughter, Alyson Egan and her husband, Brandon of Freehold Township; son, Andrew Rosenthal of Howell; grandchildren, Griffin and Lyla Egan; father, Alan Rosenthal; sisters, Traci Edwards and her husband, Jeff,  and Lori Hurst and her husband, Bob; Shotzy, his beloved dog; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews; and countless friends who loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, New Jersey on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home on Sunday, December 21, 2025.  For those who are unable to attend his funeral service in person, you may participate via the funeral home's webcast, HERE.  Interment will follow at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, 361 Route 79, Marlboro, New Jersey.  For those who desire, memorial contributions in honor of his mother may be made to the American Cancer Society, Making Strides, Post Office Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.  For information, directions, or to leave condolence messages for the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com
