Obituary of Raymond Anthony Milano

Raymond Anthony “Ray” Milano, 66, of Matawan passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, December 15, 2025. He was born in The Bronx, raised in River Edge and had lived in South Brunswick and Jackson before settling in Matawan in 2020. Ray dedicated 26 years of his life to working as a delivery driver for FedEx, beginning his career in New York City before continuing his service in Edison until he retired in 2008.

 

 

Music was at the heart of Ray’s life and was known as the life of the party in any room he walked into. He had a special love for singing Tom Jones songs, often entertaining family and friends with his spirited performances. Ray was the proud owner of RayDeeOh Music, a DJ company that brought energy and celebration to weddings and countless special occasions. Through his music, he helped create lasting memories for so many.

 

 

Ray found peace and happiness near the water. He enjoyed spending time at Morgan Marina, Raritan Bay and cherished beach days at Wildwood Crest and Island Beach State Park, Seaside. He also enjoyed to travel, taking memorable trips to Walt Disney World, the Bahamas, Florida, Atlantic City, and Las Vegas. Ray enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, and his favorite sport, blackjack in Atlantic City with family and friends, always embracing life with enthusiasm and a sense of fun. Above all, he was a loving father, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin who will be deeply missed by all.

 

 

Ray is predeceased by his parents, Emil and Eleanor Milano; uncles, Vincent DiPreta, Dr. William Tierney, and Joseph Milano; and aunt, Marie Conte and her husband, Anthony. He is survived by his son, Raymond A. Milano, Jr.; sister, Janice Martino and her husband, Richard; nieces, Lisa Martino and her fiancé, Matt Giannotti and Nicole Jovasevic and her husband, Marko; nephew, Michael Martino and his girlfriend, Myla O’Buckley; aunt, Laura Tierney; cousins, Jennifer Reed and her husband, Shane and Kerri Schaub and her husband, Chris and their children, Emma and Aiden.

 

 

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to his 11:00 AM funeral service on Friday, December 19, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ray’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
