Obituary of Elio Guzman

Elio Guzman, 96, of Freehold passed away at CentraState Medical Center on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, surrounded by his family.  Elio was born in Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1957 where he had lived in Newark and Port Monmouth before settling in Freehold 20 years ago. Elio was a supervisor in the warehouse for Pathmark, where he worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. Elio's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always putting their needs above his own. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever. In his free time, Elio was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved nothing more than hunting in the great outdoors, surrounded by nature and the peace it brought him.

Elio is survived by his wife of 65 years, Gladys Guzman; three children, David Guzman and his wife, Susan of Jackson, Denese Muniz and her husband, John of Jackson and Darren Guzman of Freehold; four grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan, Aiden and Alexandra.
