Obituary of Catherine Applegate

Catherine Applegate, 90, of Farmingdale passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at the Reformed Church Assisted Living, Old Bridge.  She was born in Trenton, raised in Monroe and had lived in Robbinsville before settling in Farmingdale in 2021.   Catherine worked as an administrative assistant for Rheox, Inc., in East Windsor.  She grew up on a flower farm and loved pansies.  Catherine will be remembered most for being a selfless woman and a devoted mom and grandma.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Catherine Rotter; and her sister, Lynn Wright.  Catherine is survived by her son, Robert Applegate and his wife, Genyne; daughter, Debra Colon and her husband, Joe; five grandchildren, Robert Applegate, III and his wife, Erica, Danielle Seibert and her husband, Jay, Lauren Fenton and her husband, John, Isabela and Mia; and five great grandchildren, Leah, Ada, Jackson, Robert IV, Johnny and Jimmy.
