Elizabeth Ann "Betty Ann" Perhacs, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the age of 86, in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Betty Ann was born on February 10, 1939, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to the late Herman and Martha Jane (Bildhauser) Lotz. A proud graduate of McKeesport High School class of 1957, she carried her strong work ethic and dedication throughout her professional life, working for People's Union Bank & Trust Company and Devereaux Chevrolet.
A cherished member of the Church of the Nativity, Betty Ann was deeply involved in her community. She was active with Newcomers and took great pride in organizing tri-annual craft sales alongside fellow artisans. Crafting, ceramics, and painting were her true passions, and she found great joy and fulfillment in creating beautiful works with her hands.
Betty Ann was the devoted Lotz family historian and the beloved planner of Lotz family reunions, preserving family memories and traditions with care and enthusiasm. She fulfilled a lifelong dream by traveling to Germany to visit her ancestral roots. In keeping with her German heritage, Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she famously insisted on a Christmas tree at least nine feet tall, lavishly adorned with hundreds of ornaments.
Above all else, Betty Ann was devoted to her family. She was the cornerstone of her family, always offering unwavering love, guidance, and support to her husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings. She was especially proud of her role as a mother and grandmother, and her family meant everything to her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alvin T. Perhacs Sr.; her children, Eugene P. (Alison) Walk Jr. of Barnegat, NJ, Alvin T. (Mary Jane) Perhacs Jr. of Hamilton, NJ, Christopher M. (Paulette) Perhacs of Moorestown, NJ, and Christopher Todd (Helen Joy) Walk of Bradley Beach, NJ; her grandchildren, Alexander Rosko, Richard Foster, Thomas Perhacs, Samantha Buckley, Samantha Goodman, Meghan Critchfield, Camille Monticello, Lauren Lediju, Elizabeth Walk, and Baron Walk; and her great-grandchildren, Vann Monticello, Arnold Monticello, Charlie Goodman, and Grace Buckley.
She is also survived by her sisters, Carole Louise Miller and Janet Ruth Ghetian of Elizabeth Township, and Bernice Noreen Stoken of Munhall, along with many nieces and nephews whom she cherished deeply.
Betty Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Morrell Lotz and Peter Ulmont Lotz, and her sister, Doris Elaine Keebler.
Betty Ann's warmth, kindness, creativity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be remembered always. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her family will continue to honor the love and strength she so generously shared.
