Obituary of Robert Edwin Beverly
Robert Edwin Beverly, 79, of Neptune passed away peacefully at the Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center, Freehold Township on December 15, 2025. Bob was born in Long Branch and raised in Eatontown and Neptune City. He lived in Wall before moving to Neptune. He was the owner of GM Repair in Freehold for over twenty years. Prior to that, Bob worked for Archer Autobody in Asbury Park and Geiger Ford in Wall. He started his working career at Hoffman Koos as a delivery person and then a interior designer. Bob loved all things cars and once owned a car that raced at Wall Stadium.
Bob was predeceased by his mother and step-father, Mearl (nee Stebbins) and Dale Arter; father and step-mother, Robert and Carol Beverly; twin brother, Richard Edward Beverly; brother, Peter Beverly; life partner, Jacqueline Hall; and step-sons, Jermey and Josh Mele.
His is survived by his three daughters, Jennie-Sue Ward, Christina Lane and her husband, Stephen, and Sheila Cottrell and her husband, Trampas Ferrell; nine grandchildren; three sister, Patricia Nielson, Penny Leefe, and Deborah Beverly; son-in-law, Thomas Ward; step-children, Danny Mele, Babbette Mele, and Lary Mele; four step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
All arrangements are private at this time by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Inurnment will be in Farmingdale Evergreen Cemetery.
