Grace Cocozza, 92 of Manalapan passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born and raised in Staten Island before settling in Manalapan four years ago. Grace dedicated over 20 years of her life to serving as an Audit Clerk at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Staten Island, where she was not only a diligent worker but also a friendly face that brightened the days of those she encountered. She had a passion for cooking, particularly her renowned manicotti, which was nothing short of superior. Family gatherings often revolved around her culinary creations. Grace also had a talent for baking, filling her home with the sweet scents of freshly made treats that left everyone wanting more. An avid fan of the New York Giants. Sundays were often filled with spirited discussions about the game, and her enthusiastic cheers echoed through her home. Grace enjoyed visiting Atlantic City, where she found joy in the vibrant atmosphere, the excitement of trying her luck.
She is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Cocozza, Sr. Grace is survived by her two children, Michelle Fronduto of Manalapan and Nicholas Cocozza, Jr and his wife, Teresa of Manalapan; seven grandchildren, Stephen and his wife, Brittany, Christina and her husband, Jay, Dana and her husband, Rich, Michael and his wife, Danielle, Alyssa and her husband, Jonthan, Jacquelyn, Nicole and her husband, Frankie; eight great grandchildren, Aria, Gianna, Colton, Henry, Amelia, Carmine, Audrey and Dean; former son in-law, Stephen Fronduto.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:45 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at St. Clare's Church, 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 155 Parkinson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10305.
