Holly C. Broberg, 80, of Gouldsboro, PA passed away at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospice House. She was born in Paterson, raised in Wayne and lived in Japan, Oklahoma, Howell and shared her retirement in South Carolina and Pennsylvania. Holly worked as a special education teacher for over 25 years through the Howell Township Board of Education at Southard, Taunton and Aldrich Schools prior to retiring in 2003. She was a parishioner of the Church of St. Veronica in Howell and a member of the Litchfield Golf Course and Country Club. Holly had a love for adventure and enjoyed traveling around the world by cruise line, with her most recent trip being to Egypt just this past May with her husband. In her free time, she could often be found sitting at the beach, taking long walks, or engrossed in a good book. Holly had a passion for learning and was always eager to expand her knowledge through reading and exploration. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren. Holly was always there to support them in their many endeavors, whether it be attending their sports games, musical concerts or other events. She was their biggest cheerleader.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard “Rick” Broberg; her daughters, Noelle Shimer and her husband, Frank of Lithia, FL; Mindee Burger and her husband, Dan of Howell and four grandchildren, Jason Shimer, Morgan Burger, Lauren Burger and Kamryn Burger; brothers, Mark Lang and his wife, Laurie of California and Jeff Lang of New Jersey; sister, Jill Lang of Kentucky; and sisters-in-law, Maryanne Malach and her husband, David of Florida and Lois Lang of New Jersey.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell.
