Nancy L. Kelly, 62, of Freehold Township passed away at home on Saturday, January 24, 2026. She was raised in Manalapan, and was a long-time resident of Freehold Township. She was a graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing; led a successful professional career, retiring from her role as Vice President. Nancy was a loving and supportive mother to her two children, a caring daughter, and a faithful friend. She will be remembered for her charitable nature, and her kindness to those who needed it most.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Gary Wagner, her father Rudolf (Rudy) Schmid, and her brother Michael Schmid. She is survived by her children: Patrick Kelly and his wife Rachel of Alexandria, VA, and Kaitlyn Kelly of Chicago IL; her mother, Janet Schmid of Freehold Township; and her sister, Susan Winger of Indianapolis, IN.
All arrangements are private under the direction of Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. She will be interred with her father and brother in Holmdel Cemetery & Mausoleum, Holmdel. Nancy’s love of animals led her to foster several dogs for adoption; for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, in lieu of flowers.
