Maryann Gravatt, 85, long-time resident of Howell, passed away at Preferred Care at Wall on January 30,2026. She was born in Neptune and had lived in Freehold and Wall before settling in Howell in 1964. Maryann was a graduate St. Rose in Belmar and had worked for Signallite in Neptune before she became a local housekeeper. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends but her most fond memories were with her grandson especially when she babysat him.
Maryann is predeceased by her husband, Cecil Gravatt, Jr, mother, Lillian Winthers and stepfather, Charles Winthers; brother, Robert Potter. She is survived by her two daughters, Karen Lewis and her husband, Robert and Charlene North and her husband, Ronald; grandson, Craig Lewis and his wife, Patricia; great granddaughters, Sophie and Liliana; sister, Marlene Gravatt and her husband, George; sisters in law, Sharon Hart, Lillian Leary and her husband, Glenn, Barbara Spector, Judy Gravatt; brother in law, John Gravatt, many nieces and nephews, two great grandnieces and one great grandnephew.
