Gladys M. Alvarez, 82, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2026 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Gladys was born in Brooklyn and moved to Freehold in 1985. She was the office manager for Manhattan Partition in Green Point, Brooklyn for eighteen years, retiring in 2008. In retirement, Gladys worked for Leisure Village East. She was a woman of faith and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Gladys was predeceased by her brother, Walter Duffy and his wife, Arlene. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Barbara Williams, Michael Duffy, Timothy Duffy, Tracey Vavrin, and Heather Rogers.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 9:00 AM until her funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
