Dolores T. Cunningham, 94, of Howell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at home with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Chester, Pennsylvania where she graduated High School and worked as an Administrative Assistant at Hessey Miller Construction Company. Dolores had gone on to live in California for 8 years and Delaware for 15 years. Dolores then lived with her daughter, son-in-law, and their children as a devoted loving member of the Cannon family for 37 years. She was the best playmate, babysitter, cook, and companion to her grandchildren during their childhood. Together, they lived in Manasquan for 27 years and settled in Howell about 7 years ago. She was a magical grandmother, always caring, participating, and attending as many events as possible. Dolores especially loved to read them books and watch Shirley Temple movies.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 33 years, Laurence J. Cunningham; parents, Andrew and Katherine Mayka; and siblings, Sherry DeViese, Eddie Mayka, Pat Perski, and Dennis Mayka. Dolores is survived by her loving daughter, Laurie Cannon and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Kristen Leigh Agazarian and her husband, Nick, Casey Laurence Cannon, and Kaitlyn Grace Cannon; as well as her great grandchildren, Theo, Bennett, and Cannon.
