Carol Bochicchio, 92, of Holmdel passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026. She was born and raised in Brooklyn. Carol later made her home in several communities she held dear, including the Great Kills section of Staten Island, as well as Colts Neck and Freehold.
Above all else, Carol cherished time spent with her family. She was a devoted mother and a beloved grandmother and great grandmother, affectionately known as both Nonna and Grandma. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her cooking, as she took great joy in preparing meals and entertaining those she loved. Carol had a passion for traveling and found special happiness during the Christmas season, which she celebrated with enthusiasm and warmth. She also loved gardening and could often be found tending to her plants or delighting in feeding the birds and squirrels that visited her yard.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, James Bochicchio and seven siblings. Carol is survived by her three children, Dr. Daniel Bochicchio, Carol Ann D’Elia and her husband, Vincent, and Georgette Schioppo and her husband, Anthony; eight grandchildren, Lauren Fritsch and her husband, Danny, Kate Bochicchio, Emily Bochicchio, Carolyn D’Elia and her husband, Joel, Deanna Fallon and her husband, Julian, Jennifer Noble and her husband, Eddie, Danielle DeMarco and her husband, Michael, and Dana Marie Schioppo; and six great grandchildren, Charlotte, Henry, Caroline, Gia Bella, Enzo, and Michael, Jr.
A visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 8:30 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY.
