Obituary of Steven H. Mondel

Steven H. Mondel , 74, of Freehold passed away on Thursday, April 2 ,2026 at his residence. He was born and raised in the Bronx and was raised in Staten Island, Later in life he moved to Farmingdale and eventually to Freehold in 2022. Steven served the community as a paramedic for the FDNY and subsequently for Staten Island University Hospital. He deeply valued the professional relationships and lifelong friendships he built during his career as a medic. Steven was an avid cook and possessed a significant passion for knives. We also take comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved dog, Jennie, whom he missed dearly.

Steven is predeceased by his wife, Susan Mondel. He is survived by his son, Johnathan A. Mondel of Texas.
