Obituary of Iain C. Aitchison

Iain C. Aitchison, 86, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at CareOne at Wall. He was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and spent his summer holidays in Scotland. He immigrated to the United States in 1972 living in Seattle and California before settling to Howell in 1988. Iain served as the President of Century Distribution Systems, Inc. until his retirement in 2011. He also served on the Board of Directors of Canadian Tire Corporation. Prior to these roles, he held positions with K-Line in both Japan and Hong Kong. Iain was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing on numerous courses worldwide. He was also a passionate traveler and an enthusiast of boating.

Iain is predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Jess Aitchison; niece Sarah Campbell Dicker; In-laws, Joe and Millie Parisi. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Aitchison of Howell; sister, Anne Dicker of England and nephew, Andrew Dicker and his wife, Carol; nieces, Nicole Giove and her husband, Justin, Kristen Parisi and Kaitlyn Parisi; great niece, Amelia Giove and sister-law, Karen McClaughry.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Thursday April 9, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
