Obituary of Charles J. DiPasquale, Jr.

Charles J. DiPasquale, Jr., 73, of Howell Township, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.  Born and raised in Jersey City, he moved with his family to Howell in 1970 .He was a graduate of New Jersey City University.

Chickie dedicated thirty years of service to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as a police officer and eventually K-9 and Bomb Disposal Specialist, spending most of his career at Newark Liberty International, Chickie responded to Ground Zero, serving with courage and unwavering commitment during one of the nation’s darkest moments, before his retirement in 2006.   He was a member of the International Society of Explosive Engineers, a member and Firearms Instructor for PBA, Local 600, and a proud member of the N.R.A.  A man of faith, he was a parishioner of the Church of St. Veronica.

Chickie loved traveling, paintball excursions and exploring new adventures, but his lifelong passion was music.  A talented drummer, he performed with the band Drunkin’Public and in local theater productions over the years.  Above all, he cherished his family.

Chickie was predeceased by his parents, Charles J. and Catherine DiPasquale and his brother, Daniel DiPasquale.  He is survived by his siblings, John “Jack” DiPasquale and his wife, Debbie of Howell, Patricia "Pat" Hawkins and her husband, Richard of Vienna, Gary DiPasquale and his wife, Mona of Bayville, Susan Fagioli and her husband, John of Toms River, Linda Clayton and her husband, Wally of Howell, Ray DiPasquale and his wife, Marie of Howell, Gene DiPasquale and his wife, Tracey of Howell, Carolyn Culloo and her husband, Mike of Brick, and Chris DiPasquale and his wife, Tricia of Howell; numerous nieces and nephews; a great niece; great nephews; cousins and dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Memorial Mass on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Church of St. Veronica, 4219 Route 9 North, Howell, NJ.  Following the conclusion of mass, a repast will be held in the church hall.  A private inurnment will be held at a later date with family present.  For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel To Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family visit, www.claytonfuneralhome.com
