Obituary of Rose Marie B. Giordano
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026 our Dear Lord called Rose Marie Giordano “Home”. Rose Marie was born January 7, 1934 to Beatrice and Carl LaCagnato in Brooklyn, NY. She was the second oldest of five girls and one boy.
Rose Marie passed away peacefully at her home in Howell, with family, after a brief and unexpected illness. She was 92, courageous, brave and strong.
Rose Marie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother and loyal friend. She was admired and loved by all who were blessed to know her and lovingly remembered for her unending kindness. Rose Marie was a devout Catholic with an unbreakable faith in God. She was an excellent cook and loved baking. Rose Marie had a 45+ year career in food service, both as restaurant owner and manager of several school kitchens in New York and New Jersey. She retired at 89 years old from Woodland School in Monroe, NJ.
Rose Marie is survived by her two adult children, Linda Novotny of Freehold and David Giordano of Howell; two adult grandchildren, Angela Esposito of Old Bridge and Michael Novotny of Freehold; and a great granddaughter, Charlie Esposito. She is also survived by her brother, John LaCagnato of Monroe; and sister Lucille Viteritti of Seaford, NY. Rose Marie leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved and admired her. Her legacy will live on through the many lives touched by her grace and love.
