Obituary of Ralph F. DeFlores
Ralph DeFlores was born on January 11, 1926, and died peacefully at age 100 on May 9, 2026, in Brick, NJ. He was the son of Virginia Miscia DeFlores and Ralph DeFlores. Ralph grew up in Montclair and Clifton, NJ. His family moved to the Jersey shore in the 1950s. He lived for the past 30 years in the Silvermead Manufactured Home Park in Freehold, NJ and had an enjoyable life there.
Ralph was a WWII veteran, a supervisor at Revlon in New Brunswick, and he also helped many people over the years as a psychic medium and spiritual counselor. He was a gifted, amazing and unpretentious man. Ralph wrote two historical novels based on his research about biblical times, ‘Jesus and the Essenes: The Untold Story” and “James, the Brother of Jesus”. He enjoyed the simple things in life, especially good food, keeping up with current events, watching mystery shows, and doing activities and traveling with his friends. Ralph was interested in science, ancient history, Egyptology, archeology and parapsychology.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn DeFlores; his children, Stanley DeFlores, Wendy DeFlores, Darlene Sanders and Jeffrey DeFlores; his brother, Henry DeFlores; his grandson, Justin Floystrup and his fiancée, Fran Coratti.
Surviving are his children, Kenneth DeFlores and Kara Pabers; his brother John Forrest; his grandchildren, Gina Cull, Paige Franklin, Jennifer Ross, Heather Sauer, Amanda Sanders, Corey Sanders, Kyle DeFlores, Ross DeFlores, Tyler DeFlores, Kelly Bennett, Devin Pabers, Kevin Pabers and Kaitlyn Pabers, and his great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Interment will follow in Brigadier William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Father Solanus Guild, Detroit, Michigan, the Capuchin Franciscan Province of St, Joseph, Detroit, Michigan, the St. Rose of Lima Church in Freehold, New Jersey, and the Monmouth County Association for the Blind.
