Rosemarie Venezia

Obituary of Rosemarie Venezia

Rosemarie Venezia, 83, of Freehold passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, Rosemarie moved to Staten Island in 1965 before settling in Freehold 18 years ago.  She loved throwing parties and entertaining family and friends. In her younger years, Rosemarie worked at the chocolate factory and enjoyed taking countless rides in her beloved green 1970 Mustang. Family holidays and gatherings were among her greatest joys, and she especially loved cooking for her loved ones – meatballs and torpedo potato croquettes being the family favorites.  A woman who always looked her best, Rosemarie took pride in dressing elegantly from head to toe, always accessorized with jewelry. Rosemarie loved shopping, playing the slot machines, and indulging in cheesecake and Italian pastries.

Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was lovingly known as “Grandma Rosie” by her great-grandchildren, who adored her deeply.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Constantino Venezia.  She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dantuono; son, Michael Venezia and his wife, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Ashley, Kristopher, Michael, Sophia and Juliana; and great grandchildren, Michael and Salvatore.
