Obituary of Merrill H. Aronson

Merrill H. Aronson, 84, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Serenity Hospice Care in Hamilton.  Merrill was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Long Island and Howell before settling in Freehold in 1976.  Merrill received both his bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry at Long Island University in New York. He retired from FMC Corporation in Carteret, New Jersey in the mid 90’s after working there for over 20 years as a chemist.  Prior to that, he worked at Warner-Lambert Pharmaceuticals.

Merrill proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1963 to 1970.  Merrill enjoyed  target shooting at the Shore Shot Pistol Range in Lakewood, as well as vacationing with Gloria in one of their favorite spots, including Aruba, the Catskills, and Wildwood Crest. 

Merrill was predeceased by his brother, Myron Aronson.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Gloria Aronson; his two sons Richard of Freehold, and Dave and his wife, Jennifer of Jackson; and his two grandsons, Griffin and Chase.
