Obituary of Catherine H. Skripak

Catherine Helen Skripak (maiden Stiennen) passed away at 59 years old in her sleep in Neptune, NJ at JSUMC in hospice care.

Cathy grew up in Howell, NJ, the youngest of three siblings. She attended Freehold Township school and after graduating she joined the Air Force as a medic. She was stationed in Germany during the Gulf War. After leaving the military, she married David Skripak and started their family. Also raising them in Howell, NJ.

She was loved by many, including family, friends and colleagues. She was known as a mother, a daughter, a nurse, a soldier. But my mother above all was a fighter. For five and a half years she fought stage 4 cervical cancer, and unfortunately the cancer won in the end. My mother never gave up hope or strength. She fought until the very end.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road ( Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:30 PM with her Memorial Service to follow.
