Obituary of Dorothy A. Shillitto

Dorothy Shillitto, 89, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at The Jewish Home for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Freehold Township.  Dorothy was born and raised in Brooklyn, where she lived for many years before settling in Jackson in 2000. She enjoyed shopping and watching television, but above all else, Dorothy cherished her family. A devoted grandmother and “G-G,” she dedicated her life to caring for and loving those closest to her.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Matthew; sons, Matthew, Jr. and Joseph; and three sisters, Madeline, Lorraine, and Frances.  She is survived by two daughters, Donna Tulino and her husband, Vincent and MaryJane O’Lenick and her husband, Scott; five grandchildren, Vincent Tulino, Jr., Joseph Tulino and his wife, Leah, Rebecca Russiello and her fiancé, Dominick Azzato, Matthew Russiello and Sarah Grassi, three great grandchildren, Carmella, Gabriella, Dominick  Joseph, and one on the way; her sister, Annette Swensen; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Monday, June 1, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 91 Stillhouse Road, Millstone.
