Geraldine Yaccarine

Obituary of Geraldine Yaccarine

On June 1, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly, Geraldine Yaccarine passed away at the age of 66.

Born in Manhattan, New York, Geraldine lived life exactly the way she wanted to: loudly, lovingly, and with an endless amount of passion. Her gift of gab was legendary, and those who knew her can probably still hear her voice, her laughter, and the stories she could tell like no one else.

Geraldine was the devoted wife of John Yaccarine Jr. and the loving mother of John Anthony Yaccarine III and his wife Tracy, Thomas Yaccarine, Michael Yaccarine and his wife Laura, Francesca Yaccarine, and Anthony Yaccarine and his wife Maria. Family was everything to her, and she devoted her life to loving, protecting, and caring for those closest to her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joan Marie Randazzo (DiBenedetto) and Joseph Randazzo, and her brother, Anthony. She leaves behind her brother, Charles, along with countless cousins, relatives, and friends who became family throughout her life.

Nothing brought Geraldine more happiness than being a grandmother to her four grandchildren, and the grandchild on the way, who were the light of her life. She adored every moment spent with them and never missed an opportunity to tell them how much she loved them. They brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Geraldine had a special way of making people feel welcome. She was a mother figure to many, always ready with advice, a meal, a phone call, or a listening ear. She loved fiercely, protected the people she cared about, and gave her whole heart to those around her.

Even as life changed in ways none of us could have imagined, Geraldine faced every challenge with remarkable strength, courage, and determination. She fought hard to stay with the people she loved and never stopped showing up for her family in every way she could.

Our family would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to her devoted caregivers, Connie and Susan. Their kindness, compassion, friendship, and unwavering care brought comfort, dignity, and love to Geraldine throughout her journey. They became so much more than caregivers, they became part of our family, and we will forever be grateful for the tenderness and support they gave not only to Geraldine, but to all of us.

To know Geraldine was to love her. While her absence leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of those who loved her, her spirit lives on in the stories she told, the lessons she taught, the family she built, and in every butterfly that crosses our path. Though we will miss her beyond words, we carry her with us always: in our hearts, in our memories, and in the love she gave so freely.

To the moon and back.
