Obituary of Arnold F. Persily
Arnold F. Persily, 78, of Freehold passed on June 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born and raised in the Bronx and had lived in Old Bridge before settling in Freehold in 2012. Arnold had a distinguished career as a credit analyst for Wells Fargo, but his true passions were found in his many hobbies and interests. An avid New York Jets fan, he held season tickets since 1965 and often spoke of his greatest joy: witnessing their Super Bowl victory in 1969. When he wasn't cheering for the Jets or the Yankees, he could be found golfing, relaxing in his pool, or enjoying the simple pleasure of reading the newspaper outside with a cup of coffee. He also cherished the many cruises he took with his wife.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lesley Persily; son, Heath S. Persily and parents, Sidney and Florence Persily. Arnold is survived by his daughter, Brooke Dzieciol and her husband, Chris of Freehold; six grandchildren, Dylan and his wife, Patricia, Hailie, Megan, Brayden, Heather and Carson; his brother, Robert Persily and his wife, Sari of Somerset and his son’s girlfriend, Melissa Weber of Old Bridge.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:00 PM with his funeral service to follow. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, New Jersey 07663.
