Obituary of Raymond Marino

Ray Marino, age 94, died in his home on June 14, 2026. He was born in Jersey City in 1932, and moved at 7 years old with his family to a farm in Freehold.  It was uptown that he met Ellen Guzzardi in the early 1950s. They married in 1955 and celebrated their 70th anniversary in October. He worked for Allied and Jersey Concrete for many years before retiring. Ray loved building, tinkering, and taking care of everything related to the family home and property.

Ray is survived by his wife Ellen and their daughter, Linda Britton of New York City, and several nieces, nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathie and his grandson Ryan Maas.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold.  Entombment will be private for the immediate family only in St. Rose Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your preferred charity.  For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
