Dearest PAM, Sam, Jess, & Victoria,
It is with a broken heart that I leave this message with my deepest sympathies to PAM and the girls; Sam, Jess, Victoria, and the entire family. Words cannot express the sadness I’m feeling for all of you at this time. I remember the day that I met JENO at the 31 Chelsea Road house in Jackson where all of the Engels & Czabafy loved ones always gathered! As JENO & PAM’S relationship grew I remember him including me in on so many shared moments & events. JENO & PAM drove to my apartment in Pennsylvania when I attended Trenton State College (now College of N.J.) having to cross The Trenton Makes, The World Takes Bridge & it was there that he told me that he wasn’t stealing my best friend but that he was going to marry her & have beautiful children & grandchildren with her & that we all would be in each other’s lives forever. He kept his word & that certainly happened…as you can tell from the beautiful & touching life capturing video. As the family grew so did his love & inclusion of everyone. He was never far from PAM even when she was physically away because he was only a phone call away as he always ensured that details & the grocery list was complete. JENO wanted fresh food to cook with & every meal was delicious, earning the name, Chef JENO. During the many conversations, stories, & words of advice, JENO many a times would answer my inquiries with “It Depends”. He always gave me information & answers from multiple perspectives which made me a better thinker & taught me to consider the perspective of others with empathy & sympathy. JENO was always up for adventure & loved driving PAM around to destinations in that beautiful black Cadillac that he had years ago & PAM loved it. I will always remember how thrilled he was when each of you girls were born & how he kissed your faces & ensured that there was plenty of toys around to including the big swings & play set that lasted many years in the backyard. JENO wanted his kids & grandchildren to always play, have fun, & enjoy the rides, games, & food at the boardwalk. With all of his many talents he put those efforts into making others very happy. JENO told me of his Pride serving in The U.S. Army & truly enjoyed being a patriot. He loved Woodstock from the Snoopy cartoons & told me that Woodstock was a cool bird & how much he loved eagles. Amazingly, at Juliana & Jacob, the twins 3rd birthday party an eaglet flew by in the sky actually circling the home…there are no coincidences…I remember JENO saying that he would fight to live as long as possible & when he gets to Heaven that he would still be watching the family from not too far. Avya, Noah, & Sophia were there to witness this, I believe it was him too. JENO said he would never leave & that as all of his kids grew up & married wonderful people with impressive careers this growing family always made him feel proud & he loved. It is at this time that I am said to say Goodbye & that I was always truly happy that it was “you” that married my Best Friend PAM & that I am that I am thrilled & honored that you did!
I will miss you forever JENO…Blessings Always!
