Condolences
So very sorry to hear of Richie’s passing. He was an easy person to work with and a funny kinda guy.
Condolences to his family. He is missed instantly.
I was one of the fortunate ones who got to work with Richie at Bayley Seton when we all first started our careers. He was so down to earth, and humble about all the things he knew. Would love to run into him at some point in my shift and see his big smile. It would always make the day better. We had conversations about Our Irish heritage and I loved he was in a pipe and drum band and was able to see him at the St Patrick’s parades . No more suffering Rich, until we all meet again in the operating room in heaven. Rest Easy my old friend. you were -The Best of the BEST
I was honored to not only call Richie a colleague but also a friend. At BSH, he made us feel safer and more confident in our work environment. My condolences to the entire Hughes family.
Richie always came to the Operating Room with that smile that brightened up my day, no matter what challenges was laid out in front of us , we knew we could get through it together. I was lucky to have known him and worked with him professionally at SIUH , but more than that he was always a friend with a smile , He was the best of the best and we will miss him dearly. Sending Love to the family ❤️
