Obituary of Stewart C. Lober
Stewart C. Lober, 52, of Howell Township passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Stu was born, raised and lived in Brooklyn. He was a graduate of Dominican University in Orangeburg, NY and played baseball there all four years. Stu then returned to Brooklyn and then moved to the Dongan Hills section of Staten Island before settling in Howell Township in 2017. He was a salesman for the past ten years for Liberty Coca-Cola Beverage in Monmouth Junction. Prior to that, he started his working career at Budweiser in Newark and then for Nabisco in Fair Lawn.
Work did not define, Stu. His big laugh did. Either cheering on the Mets, Jets or the Knicks, he was passionate about his sports. However, Stu was a bigger fan of his son, Mason. He could always be found cheering him on. Family was everything to him. From Sunday dinners to just being home, that was where Stu found peace.
Stewart was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Sheri Lober. He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Victoria (nee Mazzola) Lober; his son, Mason Lober; sister, Suzanne Gelino and her husband, Richard; brother, Steven Lober; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Interment will be private. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the family for Mason’s future. For information, directions or condolence messages to the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com.
