Obituary of Maria Delores Petillo

Maria Delores Petillo, 77, of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at JFK University Medical Center, Edison.  Born on January 11, 1949, in Union, New Jersey, Maria was the loving daughter of Philip and Katherine (née Presti) Iannone.

She lived a life defined by love, kindness, resilience, and devotion to her family in Watchung, Colts Neck and Manalapan before settling in Sayreville.  Maria had a caring heart and a generous spirit that touched everyone who knew her.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones and creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Maria was a beloved wife for forty-seven years, loving mother, adoring grandmother, doting aunt, and dear friend.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

While our hearts ache with her loss, we are grateful for the gift of her life and the countless ways she enriched ours.  Her love remains woven into the lives of her family, and her memory will be treasured forever.

The family thanks all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

Maria will be always loved, forever remembered, and truly missed.

Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Petillo and her parents.  She is survived by her beloved daughter, Courtney; grandchildren, Christopher and Alexis; many cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
