Obituary of Marilyn A. Earl

Marilyn A. Earl, nee Shivers, age 90, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026 at Brandywine of Howell. She was a long-term resident of Bayonne, NJ before settling in Howell in June of 2021. Marilyn enjoyed reading especially titles off the NY Times Best Sellers list and would sometimes be so emersed in the story she wouldn’t stop reading until she reached the end of the book. She was active in her community and served for many years as President of the Residents Club of Post Road Gardens in Bayonne. Marilyn was most of all a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, taking amazing care of her family and home.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Paul Silva; second husband, Thomas Earl, Sr.; and son-in-law, Frank Johnson. Marilyn is survived by her children, Maureen Sanchelli, Barbara Silva-Johnson, David Silva and his wife, Geri, and Daniel Silva and his partner, Matthew Dillon; grandchildren, Kelly Conforti and her husband, Tom, and Joseph Sanchelli; great grandchildren, Nicolette Conforti and Abigail Conforti; step-granddaughter, Colleen Johnson-Simon and her husband, Frank; step-great grandchildren, Caprice Simon and Alyson Simon; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 6, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:30 PM with her funeral service to begin at 5:30 PM.
