Obituary of Sherry Ann Adams

Sherry Ann Adams, 80, of Whiting passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Community Medical Center, Toms River.  She was born in Buffalo, NY, raised in Freehold and then moved to Farmingdale.  In the early 2000’s, she relocated to Fort Pierce, FL before returning to New Jersey, settling in Whiting in 2026.  Sherry was a valued medical assistant at Dr. Perry’s office in Neptune, as well as at Dr. Caminetti’s office in Freehold.  She loved cooking and baking, as well as flower gardening. Sherry also enjoyed ceramics and a little retail therapy. Some of her family’s best memories were made while traveling by camper throughout the United States, including Hawaii, and during trips to Disney World.

Sherry was predeceased by her husband, Richard Adams in 2023.  She is survived by her son, Frank Barkalow and his wife, Lisa; and numerous cousins. 

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road  (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with her funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM.   Interment will be private.  For information, directions or to leave condolence messages for the family, visit www.claytonfuneralhome.com .
