Dear Tio Diego,
It's hard to put into words how much I'm going to miss you. I'll miss your jokes that could make anyone laugh and your contagious smile that always made every room feel warmer. Those are the memories that will stay with me forever.
Ever since I was a little girl, you always welcomed me into your home with open arms and treated me with so much love and kindness. You never made me feel like anything less than family. As I grew older, I realized that wasn't just how you treated me—that was simply who you were. You had a heart that cared deeply for others, and your love for your family was evident in everything you did.
One of the greatest examples you gave me was the love you shared with my Tia Carmenza. The way you loved, respected, and stood by each other was something I always admired. It was the kind of love that made me believe in lasting partnerships and gave me something to aspire to in my own life.
I will always be grateful that I had the chance to see you before you left us and, most importantly, to tell you that I loved you. That moment is something I will hold close to my heart forever. Knowing that you watched me grow from the day I was born, and that you were also able to meet my son, is a gift that brings me so much comfort. I'm thankful that our lives shared those precious moments together.
Thank you for every laugh, every warm welcome, every act of kindness, and every lesson you taught simply by the way you lived. Your love will continue to live on through the family you cherished so deeply and through the memories we will carry forever.
