Obituary of MaryAnn Saporita
MaryAnn Saporita, 75, of Freehold Township passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn. MaryAnn then moved to the Annadale section of Staten Island before settling here in 1989. A parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, she was a woman of devout faith. MaryAnn worked as the first aide on the special needs bus for Freehold Township Schools retiring in 2017 with over 25 years of dedicated service. On the weekends, she worked at the Manor in Freehold for many years. Along with her husband, MaryAnn donated her time to the Freehold Area Challenger Sports. She dedicated herself to her home, from cooking to cleaning all while dancing and singing at the same time. MaryAnn was a mom of four boys but embraced her role as Grandma to her three granddaughters.
She was predeceased by her brother, John Venturino and his wife, Anne; and her brother-in-law, Louis Coppolino. MaryAnn is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Thomas J. Saporita; four sons, Thomas Saporita and his wife, Cindy of Freehold, Michael Saporita of Las Vegas, Patrick Saporita of Freehold, and Robert Saporita of Harrisburg, PA; three granddaughters, Emily Saporita and her fiancé, Jared, Josie Saporita and Sarah Saporita; and her sister-in-law, Linda Cappolino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery & Chapel Mausoleum, 549 Route 520, Marlboro. All arrangements were under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
