Obituary of Kathryn H. Cole
Kathryn H. Cole, 90, of Howell Township passed away peacefully at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. Mrs. Cole was born in Freehold and raised in Freehold Township. She was a graduate of Freehold High School in 1953. In 1955, Mrs. Cole moved to Howell Township. She received her certificate of successful course completion from the Lausanne Institute on Technical Report Writing. Mrs. Cole then went to work for the United States Government as a Freight Rate Specialist at U.S. Naval Weapons Station, Earle for over 36 years retiring in 1990.
She relished her time in her garden tending to her flowers and in the kitchen cooking, playing the role of housewife to a tee. Receiving Jesus Christ as her personal savior on July 2, 1974, Mrs. Cole lived her life as a true woman of faith and was a member of the Immanuel Bible Church in Howell for many years. She even went on a short-term mission trip to Cap-Haitien, Haiti in 2007 with the church.
Mrs. Cole was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Cole in 2013; her parents, Ewing and Dorothy (nee Julio) Van Dorn Hendrickson; and her brother, Raymond Van Dorn Hendrickson. She is survived by her son, William Joseph Cole.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, July 27, 2026. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
