Obituary of Dr. Caron T. Todd

Dr. Caron T. Todd, 85, of Millstone and New York City passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Monmouth Crossing Assisted Living Facility in Freehold, New Jersey. She is survived by her beloved partner, Catherine Ainora as well as a number of special friends and family - Robert and Bearbel Wagar, the Quinns - Michael, Caitlin and Meghan, Nancy Erickson and cousins Nikki and Richard Ruggerio and their two daughters, Karla and Adrianne.

Caron lived a full, active and exciting life. While born in Pioria, Illinois, to parents Mikki and Walt, she was raised from the age of 5 in Southern California, in the towns of Encinitas and San Diego. She attended San Diego State University for her undergraduate degree and then moved across the country to New York City to attend Rutgers University for her Master’s degree and Columbia University for her Doctorate. During those early years at University, she taught as a fellow and than a professor at both Rutgers and Fordham Universities. She held various positions early in her career as a social worker and data scientist. She eventually settled in a coop on the Upper West Side of New York where she lived (in. addition to Millstone) and maintained an apartment until her passing.

In 1984 she and her friend, Nancy Erickson, started the company New Solutions, Inc., (NSI) a boutique health care consulting firm. She remained with their company as a data scientist until her retirement. She consulted for most of the top hospitals and health care systems in New Jersey helping them set strategy.  In addition, with NSI she worked with various state and federal agencies with an emphasis on AIDS grants and funding.

Caron traveled extensively throughout her life. She enjoyed the beauty of the American National Parks as well as the thrill of the great cities throughout Europe.
