Obituary of Iris Lee Lloyd

Iris Lee Lloyd, 79, of Colts Neck passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Irvington, raised in Westfield, and settled in Colts Neck in 1981. Iris was above all a devoted wife, mother, and grammy. She was the matriarch of her large family. Iris could often be found at the head of the dining room table holding “court” as her family would lovingly refer to, like the queen she was. She created lifelong memories for her family by hosting the holidays, especially Thanksgiving. Iris loved spending summers at the beach in Lavalette with her friends and all the kids.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jeffrey Lloyd; and son, Wayne Lloyd. Iris is survived by her children, Greg Lloyd, Ali Wilcox and her husband, Peter, Jeffrey Lloyd, II and his wife, Anne-Marie, Justin G. Lloyd, and Julia Calantoni and her husband, Brian; daughter-in-law, Melody Lloyd; grandchildren, Zachary, Tristin, Cassidy, Jack, Emily, Owen, Anthony, Avery, Hope, and Jake; great grandson, Jaxson; and sister, Gail Fantone.

A memorial gathering will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM with a funeral service to begin at 12:30 PM.
