Condolences
On behalf of the Board of Commissioners of the New Jersey Hall of Fame, I want to express our sincere condolences to the Palumbo and Cutler families for their loss. We were so proud to have Mrs. Palumbo with us at the Governor's announcement of the inaugural class of the Hall of Fame and to have Jessica read her beautiful winning essay from our statewide contest. We know that Mrs. Palumbo was deeply touched to have been the subject of her granddaughter Jessica's winning essay and we were moved by her story of courage. Mrs. Palumbo will be with us in spirit when the Governor presents Jessica with her award at the New Jersey Hall of Fame Celebration at NJPAC on Sunday, May 4th. Please know that your family is in our prayers during this time of sadness. With warm regards, Don Jay Smith, New Jersey Hall of Fame
Dear Stephen and Mike: I read your Mom's obit in the paper. It was a wonderful obituary. I remember her well. She always put up with all our nonsense and there was plenty of that. I remember walking to mid-night mass with her and you in an absolute blizzard. I'm sorry she passed away. Call me when you can. 1 201 487 7575. Frank Rivellini
You may recall we lived on 10th Street in Palisades Park and we have many fond memories of Stephen and his family. Stephen and my son Frank were very close friends as young boys. My husband and I wish to express our sincere condolences on the passing of Rita to the entire family. We are tremendously impressed with her accomplishments and we are sure she will be missed by all. Deepest sympathies . Clara and Frank Rivellini
It's been many years and I'm sorry but I could not find where anyone was until reading the obit.on Wednesday.I have nothing but wonderful memories of your mother and I know she is resting peacefully and comfortably in the arms of Our Lord Jesus Christ.I often recall the nice times I had at the house on Ninth Street with the whole family. As I convoke my thoughts I can visualize her collection of owl figurines if I just saw them yesterday...I hope all is well with everyone. Peace.....Ralph Pagano
I am so sorry for your loss. We will all miss her. She was so good to the family. I loved talking to her. We did not get to see each other all the time since we lived a couple of hours away. I loved talking with her she was a great lady. She made me beautiful knitted blankets for my two sons when they were going to be born. She also made such a beautiful Baptism blanket for them both. She will always be in my families prayers. She will never be forgotten. We loved her so much.
To the family of Rita Palumbo I am so very sorry for your loss. Rita will truly be missed by so many people. She was a very very special person and always kept me in her prayers when I was fighting my battle with Breast Cancer and I will never forget her........... Please be assured that my love and prayers are with you all at this time. Love always, Rita Lynn Matta
