Obituary of Joseph Caiola

Joseph Caiola, Jr., 60, of Lanoka Harbor, formerly of Manalapan, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family at home on Monday, August 17, 2015. Joe was born in Irvington, raised in Newark, and had lived in Edison. He had lived in Manalapan for over thirty years before moving to Lanoka Harbor in 2010. Joe was a graduate of Edison High School and Seton Hall University. He was a co-founder and partner with Joseph Marini of The OSSA Group, Bridgewater for the past twenty-three years. Along with his family, Joe was an owner of a Pepperidge Farm Franchise in Middlesex County. He was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Twp. Joe was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, an avid golfer and devoted Giants Fan. He enjoyed his time on his 28' Chaparral boat entertaining with his family and friends. Joseph was predeceased by his mother, Jennie Caiola in 1990. He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Barbara Caiola of Lanoka Harbor; two sons, Jason Caiola and his Fiancée, Laura Hullfish of Lawrenceville and Joseph Caiola, III of Ocean Grove; his father, Joseph Caiola, Sr. of Highland Park; a brother, Louis Caiola and his wife, Carol of Manalapan; his nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companions, Daisy and Molly. A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township for his 11:30 AM Funeral Mass. Cremation will be private.
