Obituary of Rose Bencivenga

Rose Bencivenga, 98, of Freehold Twp. NJ on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at home. Mrs. Bencivenga was born in Cisiano, Italy, came to the U.S. when she was 16 years old settling in Brooklyn, NY, and lived there until moving to Freehold Twp. 20 yeas ago. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. She was a seamstress with the I.L.G.W.U. in Brooklyn, NY. Surviving are one son, Joseph Bencivenga of Costa Rica; two daughters: Marie Nizza of Freehold Twp., NJ and Josephine Addeo of Belmar, NJ; two sisters: Vincenza (Mary) Scandiffio of Bell Harbor, Queens, NY and Antoinetta Osso of Long Island, NY; Eleven Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Grandchildren; and one Great Great Step Grandson. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Saturday, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM, no visitation on Sunday. Relatives and friends may gather at 9:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, McLean Street, Freehold.
