Obituary of Edward Allard

EDWARD ALLARD SR., 67, of JACKSON died Saturday, Dec. 8, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Allard was born in The Bronx, N.Y., and lived in Mt. Holly, before moving to Jackson 15 years ago. Ed was a member and Deacon at The First Assembly of God Church of Freehold. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict, and enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and his family. Mr. Allard was an auto body repairman and was employed at Jerry's Auto Body in Jackson. He was predeceased by his son, Kenneth R. Allard in 1995. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline F. Allard of Jackson; three sons and spouses, Edward J. ""Butch'' and Antoinette of South Hampton; Henry G. and Janet of Lumberton; Scott M. and Melanie of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; three brothers and spouses, Gerard and Alma Allard of North Carolina; Robert and Arline Allard of Hamilton; William and Sheila Allard of Hamilton; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road Route 524, Freehold Township. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. Jeffrey Philhower, Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will follow at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle N.J. Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the memorial contributions be made to the First Assembly of God Church of Freehold, 272 Jackson Mills Road, Freehold, NJ 07728 in his memory.
