Obituary of Anthony N. Gambale

ANTHONY N. GAMBALE, 68, of FARMINGDALE, died Sunday, January 6, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Gambale was born in Bronx, N.Y., and lived in Sea Girt until moving to Farmingdale 24 years ago. He retired 10 years ago from I.B.M., where he was a service rep. for the N.Y. Metropolitan region. Mr. Gambale was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of the North Plainfield American Legion. He was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Farmingdale and enjoyed bowling. His children were the joys of his life. Mr. Gambale is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Gambale; a son, Christopher Gambale of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Gambale of Calistoga, Calif. and Megan Gambale of Farmingdale; two sisters, Francis Nadeau of Watchung and Ann Cancro of Bedminster; his dearest friends, Ritamarie and Rudolph Kohler; and many nieces and nephews, whom he greatly loved and enjoyed. Visiting is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township. Relatives and friends may gather at 8 a.m. Wednesday for the Rite of Committal followed by his 9 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, Main Street, Farmingdale, followed by laying Anthony to his final and well-deserved rest in Brig.
