Obituary of Michael John DeLouise

Michael John DeLouise, 87, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at The Rehab Center at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold Township. He was born and raised in Manhattan and had lived in Tappan, NY before settling in Freehold Township in 1969. Michael was a professional engineer and had a dedicated career with the Lefrak Organization in Jersey City, where he made significant contributions as a skilled engineer. Prior to his tenure at Lefrak, he served as an officer at Pike Construction Company and the Federal Government Housing Finance Agency, where his expertise and dedication were highly valued. A faithful parishioner of the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, Michael was a graduate of Manhattan College earning his Master’s degree and was a former member of the Alumni Club and R.O.T.C at Manhattan College. His life was filled with numerous accomplishments and highlights, but Michael’s true joy came from his hobbies and traveling the world. He had a passion for building boat models, model airplanes, and clocks, showcasing his precision and craftsmanship in everything he did.

Michael was predeceased by his son, Michael DeLouise, Jr.  He is survived by his wife, Barbara DeLouise of Freehold; two children, Andrew DeLouise and his wife, Brenda of Freehold and Kristen DeLouise Smyth of Queens; three grandchildren, Brendan Andrew Smyth and his wife,  Bridget, Cassandra Rose DeLouise and Eric Andrew DeLouise; and three great grandchildren, Brendan, James and Rowan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass at 10:30 am on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Inurnment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Road, Manalapan.
