Nancy Trywish

Obituary of Nancy M. Trywish

With profound sorry, we announce the passing of our dearly loved Nancy (Amato) Trywish. Born on August 25, 1929, she passed peacefully surrounded by her cherished and beloved family on April 10, 2024, in her home in Jackson, New Jerey. She was 94 years old.

Born in Newark and raised in Nutley, Nancy was the matriarch of her family and found great purpose in ensuring all her loved ones were always safe and secure. With the kindest of smiles and the warmest of hearts, she brought happiness to all who crossed her path. To know Nancy was to love and adore her. Young children were drawn to her because of her kind, sweet and gentile ways. She accepted people for who they were and never had an unkind word for anyone. God broke the mold when He made Nancy.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Marcus Amato and his wife Rose, her mother Harriett Clark. Her husband Seymour Trywish, former spouse Anthony (Tony) Santillo, and her adored daughter-in-law, Millie (Stella) Santillo.

She is survived by her brother John (Sally) Amato, sisters Dolly (Hank) Gorlack and Joan (John) Ciccione, stepdaughter Sue (Karen), Son William (Marilyn) Santillo, granddaughter Kimberly (Joseph) Kessler, grandson Matthew Santillo, and great-granddaughter Kylie – with whom brought such tremendous joy to her life. Nancy proudly inherited and welcomed another loving family through William’s marriage to Marilyn, including sons Christopher (Jeri) Policano, Richard (Bussayarat) Policano, Daniel (Heather) Policano, and daughters Amanda (Jared) Granieri-Frank and Alyssa Granieri. Their children Noah, Ruthie, Jonathan, Madeline, Arabelle, Logan, Lily, Daniel, and Mason held a special place in Nancy’s heart as they were loved so dearly.

Eternal rest grant unto her, oh Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her.
