Obituary of Robert S. Hoffman
Robert S. Hoffman, 52, of Freehold passed away suddenly on Friday, December 22, 2017. He was born in Staten Island, raised in Colts Neck and lived in Little Falls prior to settling here in 1996. A graduate of Rutgers University, Rob worked as a statistical analyst and programmer at Scherring-Plough, Kenilworth and Merck & Co. in Rahway. Rob was a local professional bowler in Monmouth and Middlesex County, as well as a Monmouth County Hall of Fame bowler with thirty-two 300 games. His greatest accomplishment in life was his children, and he was their biggest fan.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert L. Hoffman and Adele Hoffman. Rob is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kathy Brietwieser-Hoffman; children, Eric Hoffman, Ciara Hoffman and Caylei Hoffman; twin brother, Bryan Hoffman and his wife, Linda Godfrey of Chester Springs, PA; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale on Saturday, December 30, 2017. Interment will follow.
